KFMB STATIONS & THE SAN DIEGO NISSAN DEALERS “SPRING HOOPS SHOOTOUT” 2013 – OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

CONTEST DATES: The “Spring Hoops Shootout” Contest begins on Sunday, February 24, 2013 and ends on March 16, 2013 at 7pm PDT. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned.

SPONSORS: Sponsors of contest are KFMB-TV/Midwest Television Inc. (“Station”) and the San Diego County Nissan Dealers. Sponsors assume no responsibility for lost, late, illegib

le, stolen, incomplete or misdirected entries.

HOW TO ENTER: There are two ways to enter: In Person and Online

IN PERSON ENTRY: To enter in person, go to the participating area Nissan Dealership locations from 4pm to 7pm PST/PDT on the dates specified:
Friday, 3/1/13 – Mossy Nissan – Kearny Mesa
Saturday, 3/2/13 – Pacific Nissan – Pacific Beach
Thursday, 3/7/13 – Mossy Nissan – Oceanside
Friday, 3/08/13 - Mossy Nissan – Escondido
Saturday, 3/9/13 – Mossy Nissan – Poway
Thursday, 3/14/13 – Mossy Nissan – Chula Vista
Friday, 3/15/13 - Mossy Nissan – National City
Saturday, 3/16/13 - Mossy Nissan – El Cajon

Each qualified entrant will be given one entry just for visiting participating Nissan Dealership in accordance with the above schedule. Entrants will then be allowed two (2) attempts to shoot a regulation basketball into a designated target. For each shot that makes it into the designated hoop, entrants will receive an additional entry form. Maximum three (3) entries per person per location, if both basketball shots are successful. Maximum twenty-four (24) total “in person” entries per person. Decisions of Sponsors are final and binding in all respects. The designated target will feature a regulation-sized basketball hoop.

ONLINE ENTRY: Each qualified entrant may also enter online at cbs8.com. No purchase necessary to enter or win. One (1) valid online entry per contestant. Station is not responsible for lost, damaged, late, misdirected, incomplete or illegible entries, or technical problems incurred while entering via the internet. Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of station, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest. If unable to enter online, entrants may also mail entries to KFMB Stations, Attn: Contests, 7677 Engineer Rd., San Diego, CA 92111. Mailed entries must include the contest name, specific entry period, first and last name, email address, full postal address and phone number on a single sheet of paper or postcard and are subject to the same entry period and rules as online entries.

There will be a maximum of twenty-five (25) entries per qualified entrant: Twenty-four (24) “in-person” entries and one “online entry” during the contest period.

ELIGIBILITY: Legal U.S. residents of San Diego County who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry are eligible to enter. Employees of Station, participating Nissan Dealerships, Omnicom Media Group, North America dba OMD and any other organizations affiliated with the sponsorship, fulfillment, administration, prize support, advertisement or promotion of the Contest/Sweepstakes and/or their respective agents, affiliates, subsidiaries and members of their immediate families or household members are not eligible. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.

WINNER SELECTION AND PRIZING: On or about Wednesday, March 20, 2013, Sponsors will select one winner by random from all eligible entries received. One (1) winner will receive a prize package consisting of two (2) tickets to the NCAA Final Four and Championship Games in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, April 6, 2013 and Monday, April 8, 2013; round-trip coach air transportation from San Diego to Georgia; three (3) nights / four (4) days hotel accommodations (1 room/double-occupancy). Total prize package ARV is $6,000. Winner must be able to travel on dates specified or prize will be forfeited.

All expenses not specifically mentioned herein are not included and are solely the winner’s responsibility, including but not limited to: all ground transportation, alcoholic beverages, fax, food, gratuities and tips, insurance, laundry service, merchandise, parking, room service, service charges, souvenirs and telephone calls. Travel and lodging are subject to availability, certain restrictions, blackout dates and Sponsor’s approval. Winner must take trip on Sponsor-selected dates: Friday, April 4, 2013 through Tuesday, April 9, 2013 or trip will be forfeited in its entirety. If the actual value of the prize is less than the stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded. Any depiction of prize is for illustrative purposes only. No substitution allowed except, at Station’s sole discretion, a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted. Station will not replace any lost, mutilated or stolen tickets, travel vouchers, certificates or prize. Prize elements may not be separated. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Station reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value. The Prize is nontransferable and non-assignable.

Winner will be notified by phone and/or email on or about Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Winner must sign prize release form at KFMB Stations by 4pm on Friday, March 23, 2013 or prize shall be forfeited and may be re-awarded. Prize may not be assigned, transferred, changed or redeemed for cash, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves right to substitute a prize of equal or great value if prize cannot be awarded as described. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee express or implied by Sponsor. Sponsor disclaims all and any liability for the actual provision, quality or nature of any third-party product or services accepted by the winner. The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules and agree that if winner fails to provide proof of identity, refuses to provide required documentation, is found to have violated the Official Rules or otherwise does not meet eligibility criteria, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Entrants understand that Sponsors are not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this promotion and acceptance, possession and use of prize. Decisions of Sponsors are final and binding in all respects.

ODDS of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

GENERAL: Except where prohibited by law: (i) entry constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner’s entry, name, hometown, likeness, photograph, voice and statements regarding this contest in all media now known or hereafter discovered, for any purpose, including without limitation, in connection with, and to promote, market or advertise, the contest, in whole or in part, without review, approval, credit or attribution, notification or payment from or to entrant or any person or entity, worldwide, in perpetuity, or on a winner’s list, if applicable; (ii) potential winner will be required to complete and return an Affadavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity unless prohibited by law, within two days of notification. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to claim prize, is unable to travel on dates of prize or attend event on prize date or fails to respond to the winner notification, the potential winner is disqualified and the prize is forfeited. If forfeited, another winner may be selected from among the eligible entries by random drawing. Travel Companion (parent/legal guardian if a minor) must complete and return a Liability/Publicity Release prior to confirming reservations. By participating and winning a prize, winner releases Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and agents, and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from the any and all liability with respect to the prize won and participation in the sweepstakes. Subject to all U.S. federal, California state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner will receive an IRS 1099-MISC tax form in the amount of the actual prize retail value. For the winner’s list, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope after March 25, 2013 to Winner’s List, The Spring Hoops Shootout, c/o The KFMB Stations, 7677 Engineer Road, San Diego, CA 92111.

INTERNET: If for any reason, the Internet-related portion of this contest is not capable of running as planned, including Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the contest, the Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the contest or any portion of the contest. Any attempt to damage or undermine the fair and legitimate operation of this contest will result in disqualification from the contest. Due to breaking news coverage, this promotion can be shortened or extended as needed. Station reserves the right to change the rules at any time without notice.
